A few years ago, I threw out all of my toxic hairstyling products and it was the best decision I ever made! I had previously experienced terrible results with traditional chemical-laden products and as soon as I made the switch, I started to experience great results with Shear Miracle Organics.
Here are my top favorite everyday hair products and the differences I've felt and observed since switching over! I use a lot more than the ones listed below and it was really difficult to narrow it down since every single product is so wonderful!
SHAMPOO
Before my first experience using Shear Miracle Organics, as a teenager I had become accustomed to that squeaky-clean feel after shampooing, not realizing that all of my natural oils were being completely stripped from my hair causing the added dryness I was experiencing.
MY CURE:
This shampoo is great for weak, thinning, and/or color-treated hair and leaves my hair feeling strengthened and moisturized because of its rich hemp oil protein contents.
This shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft and relaxed - just like you will be after inhaling the sweet notes of lavender essential oil.
Calming Lime and Chamomile Shampoo
This shampoo is great for calming curly or frizzy hair (like mine) and I love the fresh citrusy smell which reminds me of summer.
CONDITIONER
Conditioning was always my favorite part of caring for my hair because it always felt silky smooth in the shower. Although, I could never seem to completely rinse it out and I could feel build up on my hair within a day or two. If I would completely rinse it out, it didn't seem moisturized after it dried- just more dry- which makes sense because of the amount of alcohol in almost every conditioning product on most store shelves. Yes, it is true.
MY CURE:
Just like the shampoo, this conditioner leaves my hair feeling thicker and more moisturized without build up or greasiness and is good for all hair types.
This luxurious conditioner is really great for thick curly hair!
Calming Lime and Chamomile Conditioner
This conditioner is great for medium to thick, wavy and curly hair. It will leave your hair smelling fresh and citrusy.
STYLING PRODUCTS
GEL
Another annoying problem I had was I could never find a gel that didn't leave my hair feeling dry, hard or dirty after one day's use.
MY CURE:
I have never before used a gel that holds so well but is not hard. Even distribution is the key for perfect naturally curly or wavy hair. This product is a breeze to achieve that & the more you manipulate or scrunch your hair, the softer it becomes and still holds all day long! (honestly, even it can hold for a few days.)
MOUSSE
I would always have some really good hair days when I would use mousse. Inevitably, though it seemed like the more I used it, the more bad hair days I would have. I would experienced more and more build up on my hair and scalp It was very frustrating.
MY CURE:
This product has excellent hold for literally any style and doubles as a heat protectant. Whether your hair is thin and fine and you need volume, or your hair is thick and curly and you need good hold or you are looking to blow your hair out and use a hot tool, this is the most versatile styling product that I use ALL THE TIME.
HAIRSPRAY
I love doing all kinds of different hairstyles. With some of the ways I like to style my hair I can't get away from using a strong hairspray. I never liked that "hair sprayed look" and hated how dried out it would make my hair feel. It would either leave my hair feeling sticky and greasy, without any hold or it would be as hard as a rock. Not to mention, the struggle to breathe with the strong aerosol fumes.
MY CURE:
This is my favorite flexible spray. (Goin' Somewhere Hairspray is my all-time favorite for updos and stubborn flyaways.) The super plus about both of these is that they are made without any alcohol or any drying agent. I mean, think about it. If it dries your hair quickly, don't you think it will also eventually dry out your hair as well? Plus, I love that I don't have to breathe in any toxic fumes! Yay for breathing!
Well, there you have it! Those are all my favorite hair products that I use on a regular basis.
