Leonardo Dicaprio is not only a household Hollywood name that brings classiness, charm and talent to mind, but he is also a green and eco-friendly conscious gentleman!
I was thrilled to find out that in 1998, he and his family established the Leonardo Dicaprio Foundation, 'dedicated to protecting Earth’s last wild places and implementing solutions that create a harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world.'
As an Organic Stylist, I join his efforts of helping the economy and the world become a happier, healthier place by using products that are not made by a huge corporation. Rather, I choose to shop at as many local & small family owned businesses as possible. I choose to use products that are made with the best healthy ingredients, all good for your skin, hair and the planet, without chemical waste. It's also my mission to help others achieve these looks...Organically.
Leonardo has sported many varieties of styles over the years. Here's two of my favorites.
The first style I would like to highlight (pictured to the left) has a young, textured feel with a tight clipper cut around the back and sides. It is blended into the nape and it fades up into a longer length towards the forehead.
First, I have to recommend using Pure & Simple Men's Shampoo/Shower Gel Combo. I can only imagine that Leonardo smells as good as he looks & this men's shampoo has the wonderful aroma of sandalwood. Heavenly!
After shampooing and towel drying, apply a few pumps of Blow Up the Volume Foam. Use a blow dryer & blow your hair back.
Next, take a pea-sized amount of Texturizing Paste, emulsify it into your fingers and scrunch (or squeeze) through the top of your hair for a soft, tousled finish. It's that easy!
The second style has more of a relaxed, suave feel.
It begins with a soft 1 to 1/2 inch razor cut around the sides and back. It then fades into the nape and sideburns. Choose a side for the hair to be styled towards and have the hair closest to the part be the longest (about 3 inches) and fade the rest into the sideburn.
As with the shorter style above, shampoo, towel dry and apply Blow Up the Volume Foam to your hair while it is still damp. Blow dry in the direction you want your hair to go while lifting the hair from the roots with your fingers. When dry, apply a small amount of Be Wax'd Pomade for a soft, workable finish with shine.
Here are my versions. What do you think?
